Create a Digital Treatment Plan - Guide for non-integrated clients

You can create and send Digital Treatment Plan manually in a few simple steps. Once you know how it takes less than 2 minutes.


  1. Click the + button
    1. + button can be found at the top of the page, right hand side near the search bar.
    2. Click Digital Treatment Plan

  1. Add the information required to create your Digital Treatment Plan:
    1. Date of Visit when the treatment plan was created.
    2. Select the practitioner (Primary Doctor) that created the treatment plan or the person/practitioner that you want the plan "sent" from
    3. Select or create the Patient
    4. Add Treatments to provide an itemised version of the treatment version of the treatment plan for the patient and the Auto Generate feature uses these items to create a patient-friendly explanation.
      1. You can manually add treatments by clicking the "+ treatment"
      2. Or you can import treatments by clicking "Import From PMS" (Click here or see related articles to find out how)
    5. In the Additional Information section:
      1. Note to Patient add information that helps to explain the treatment, including the type of treatment, indications for treatment, and any information that you think is relevant and useful. You have a number of options to add information here.
        1. You can add free text standard information, this can be as simple as advising the patient that the treatment plan as discussed is included, or provide explanations on the most important aspects of their treatment. If this information is something that you will regularly use with your patients save it as a template and edit it as required in the Templates section of Settings.
        2. Auto Generate With AI takes the treatments from your treatment plan and transforms them into patient-friendly information about the treatment and why it's needed. You can modify this text to your preferences. If there is information that you can use for other patients save it as a template and edit it in the Templates section of Settings.
        3. Template - choose one of your pre-existing Templates. You can create beautiful designs and customised information using your favourite marketing/comms tool, such as Canva or Adobe Photoshop, export this to an image file such as JPEG, or PNG and you can add this to your template using the media icon (yellow arrow in screenshot below). f. Patient Images Upload or drag and drop images to your patient. There is also the option to add 3D models, patients love to spend time looking at 3D images.

  1. Preview your Digital Treatment plan and send it to your patient.
    1. Click Preview at the bottom of the page and review/edit your information
    2. Once everything is ready to send click Save and Send To Patient
    3. If you're not ready to send click Save Draft to Send Later

Make sure to tell your patient that they will receive an SMS with their digital treatment plan, and encourage them to get in touch with any queries either directly with the clinic or through the app.


You can check to see if your patient has reviewed the plan and how long they spent reviewing it and what they looked at. Follow up patients who have not booked, attended or completed their treatment.
