How to export 3D scans to PLY file format

Patients love to see their 3D scans and it is one of the most viewed elements when you send a Digital Treatment Plan via CoTreat.

Click the links under your scanner brand for instructions from the manufacturer on exporting 3D files.

Files need to be in PLY format to upload into CoTreat Digital Treatment Plans.

Quick tip

If 3D scans are regularly added to your Digital Treatment Plan create a folder for your practice to export the scans so they can be easily accessed.

Ask your IT team if there is a way to automate the process of exporting scans or locating the source files without manual export.
