How to set up payment plans
Payment plans can relieve some of the financial pressures that lead to deferral of large or costly tx plans. Though they are a common service for dental practices some patients are uncomfortable asking for them in person or over the phone. Your SDTPs can offer payment plans when presenting the fees to your patient.
Enabling payment plans
Click Settings ⚙ > Patient Payments > Enable Payment Plans
- Cost Minimum
- SDTPs totalling this amount will automatically add the button See Payment Plan Info to the Fees page
- Summary

CoTreat sends a notification to the treating clinician and front desk staff whenever a patient clicks See Payment Plan Info, letting you better gauge interest and which patients may need financial assistance.
Currently only 1 payment plan option is possible, you could text patients to let them know all the payment plan providers you offer.
